Elisabeth Quellec has been appointed Head of the Retail Customers Division of the cooperative banking group. Elisabeth Quellec also joins the Group's Executive Committee. She succeeds Frédéric Laurent, who is retiring.

Crédit Mutuel Arkéa's Retail Customers division has almost 4,800 employees, divided between the networks of the local mutual banks in Brittany (Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne) and South-West France (Crédit Mutuel du Sud-Ouest), the online banks Fortuneo and Keytrade Bank (Belgium) and the Marketing and Customer & Advisor Operations departments.

Elisabeth Quellec, 54, is a graduate of NEOMA Business School (Reims). She began her career in 1993 at AGF Vie (now Allianz) as a management controller. Against a backdrop of rapid technological change, she quickly moved into the field of customer relations management, as head of the Organisation, Quality and Customer Services Department, with particular responsibility for structuring customer paths, designing and developing CRM tools and the associated services offered as part of the customer loyalty programme.

In 2002, she joined the Research Department of Suravenir, Crédit Mutuel Arkéa's life insurance and provident savings subsidiary. Six years later, she joined the Group's central services and took charge of the Financial Steering Department. In 2019, Elisabeth Quellec was appointed Head of Risk Management.

Crédit Mutuel Arkéa's Executive Committee is now made up of four men and four women. This balance reflects the group's long-standing commitment to improving gender representation at all levels of corporate decision-making. The Group has 48% female branch managers, compared with 30.5% in 2016, and 38% female senior managers, compared with 18% in 2016.
