Local Elected Official
The President is the legal representative of the local bank. It is a role that requires curiosity, analytical and understanding abilities, and the ability to relay information. The President is elected by secret ballot among the administrators of the local bank. Elected for a term of 3 years at Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne and 2 years at Crédit Mutuel du Sud-Ouest, the President is the primary representative of the members of the local Credit Mutuel bank.
In this capacity:
- They lead the branch council, organize the work, and ensure its follow-up. They must make every effort to engage and motivate the members of their council through the information they provide, the responsibilities they entrust, and the attentiveness they demonstrate.
- They ensure compliance with budgets under the responsibility of the Board of Directors.
- They ensure the proper representation of members within their council and play a major role in recruiting new administrators wishing to participate in the governance of the local branch.
- They represent and voice the concerns of the members of the local branch during the annual general meeting of Crédit Mutuel Arkéa.
