Alain Hervé (56) has been appointed Managing Director of Arkéa Banque Privée, Crédit Mutuel Arkéa's dedicated wealth management arm. He will succeed Olivier Nigen, who will retire on July 1, 2024. Arkéa Banque Privée currently has 80 employees and over €3.7 billion in savings on behalf of more than 6,000 private clients.

Alain Hervé has in-depth knowledge of the various banking businesses and the Group's ecosystem, thanks to his fifteen years' experience at the head of subsidiaries and departments. Appointed Chairman of the Management Board of Arkéa Capital in 2023, he has been a member of the Management Board of Arkéa Banque Entreprises et Institutionnels (ABEI) since 2016 as Director of the Finance, Risks and Organization division, then of the Commercial division, while also serving as General Manager of Arkea Lending Services since March 2020. He joined ABEI in 2009 as Commitments Director.

He holds a post-graduate diploma (DESS) in Finance, is a graduate of the Institut des Techniques Bancaires and a member of the Société des Analystes Financiers, and began his professional career in 1990.

Since its creation in 2013, Arkéa Banque Privée has experienced strong business growth, with enhanced territorial coverage and a broader product offering. In his new role, Alain Hervé will be tasked with accelerating the development of Crédit Mutuel Arkéa's private banking business and strengthening synergies with Arkéa Banque Entreprises & Institutionnels.

“The decision to entrust Alain Hervé with our private banking activities was a natural one. Drawing on his experience within the Corporate & Institutional Banking division, he will be able to build on the synergies initiated by Olivier Nigen, and further strengthen the synergies between private banking and Arkéa Banque Entreprises & Institutionnels. With his in-depth knowledge of the banking sector and the Group's commercial challenges, Alain will continue the fine trajectory set in motion by the Arkéa Banque Privée teams more than ten years ago. I wish him every success in his new role."

- Hélène Bernicot, Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Mutuel Arkéa -

“I am delighted and honored by the Group's confidence in me to take up this new challenge. In the context of the transitions we are experiencing, the development prospects for private banking are significant for a Group as strongly committed to sustainable finance and territorial impact as ours. I'm looking forward to working with the teams and opening up new prospects for our customers.”
