One of last year's TOP 5 BtoB events, with almost 150 speakers and more than 3,000 visitors over two days, the Forum Économique Breton (FEB) has unquestionably become a key event in Brittany's economic calendar. Crédit Mutuel Arkéa is proud to be a major partner of this 5th edition, which takes place on September 11 and 12 in Saint-Malo (35). This year's FEB will once again be attended by a host of leading figures from the world of business and politics, and its theme will be "Where is happiness? - a question that echoes the commitments made by Crédit Mutuel Arkéa as part of its raison d'être (purpose) and its status as a purpose company.

Each year, the FEB focuses on a theme related to the development of Brittany. The aim is to encourage cooperation between companies, as well as between public and private players, in order to propose a common project for the region. In an economic and political context under stress, the theme of "Where is happiness?" means asking ourselves collectively what constitutes desirable living conditions for all local stakeholders, whether from an economic, environmental or societal point of view.

Crédit Mutuel Arkéa is very proud to contribute to this process, notably through its participation in the working groups organized by FEB in the run-up to the event, to produce joint contributions on five cross-cutting themes: attractiveness, acceptability, equality, sobriety and sovereignty. These contributions will be shown on video during the FEB opening plenary session, and several speakers, including Julien Carmona, will be on hand to shed light on the theme of this year's FEB.

A high-level program and speakers

In addition to the opening plenary session, featuring Loïg Chesnais-Girard, President of the Brittany Region, the FEB will also welcome Luc Ferry for a plenary dedicated to artificial intelligence, and business journalist Dominique Seux. Major business leaders such as Luc Rémont (CEO of EDF), Jean-Pierre Farandou (SNCF), and François-Henri Pinault will also be in attendance. Finally, the closing plenary session on September 12 will be hosted by Jean-Marc Jancovici on decarbonization in the regions, in the presence of the Presidents of the Brittany, Occitanie and Grand Est regions.

Alongside the many speakers, Crédit Mutuel Arkéa spokespersons Julien Carmona, Chairman of the Group and Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne, Hélène Bernicot, Chief Executive Officer, Anne Le Goff, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Véronique Crouzier, Director of Dynamics and Human Relations, Philippe Rouxel, Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne, and Ivana Kudela, Head of Organization and Resources, will be taking part in several conferences, notably on gender diversity, inclusion, agri-food and responsible digital.

Crédit Mutuel Arkéa will also be present on both days at the FEB village with a dedicated stand, where visitors will be able to talk to various group entities and business lines: Arkéa Banque Entreprise et Institutionnels, Arkéa Investment Services, PhiNOE, Kengo and Nidomio, and the group's real estate and marine divisions.

"180 seconds to convince": promoting female entrepreneurship

For the 2024 edition of the FEB, the "180 seconds to convince" call for projects has also been renewed for the 3rd year running. Crédit Mutuel Arkéa is once again a partner in this initiative, organized with Le Télégramme and the Femmes de Bretagne professional network. The aim is to promote female entrepreneurship in Brittany by selecting 10 innovative projects led by women to pitch to the FEB audience of over 200 entrepreneurs, decision-makers and potential investors. This support is in line with Crédit Mutuel Arkéa's ongoing commitment to gender equality and inclusion.
