Since entering D2 in the 2016-2017 season, the Rugby Club de Vannes has climbed the ranks, finishing twice among the top five in the championship. Partnering with the club since 2021, Crédit Mutuel Arkéa has intensified its support by becoming a premium sponsor for the 2023-2024 season, a pivotal season for the club as it enters the Top 14 for the first time in its history.

A club with strong ambitions

The Rugby Club Vannes (RCV) was founded in 1950 in a post-war context.

In the mid-20th century, regional rivalries were fierce, with Lorient's club composed of sailors, Saint-Nazaire's of dockworkers, and Lanester's of commandos. RC Vannes initiated a positive momentum with notable results. The club has progressively climbed the ranks of French rugby, reaching a historic milestone in 2016 with its promotion to Pro D2, becoming the first Breton club to play at this level.

Under the presidency of Olivier Cloarec, the club is not content with merely staying in Pro D2, but also harbors ambitions of advancing to the Top 14, the elite of French rugby. This goal was achieved in 2024 with their French championship title and promotion to the Top 14!

Together, demonstrating the strength of the collective

As the top-performing Breton team, RC Vannes embodies ambition and boldness, pushing forward to reach new heights.

As the title sponsor of RCV, Crédit Mutuel Arkéa supports this popular club, which has seen the highest attendance in Pro D2 in recent seasons. This partnership reflects shared values such as boldness, team spirit, and regional roots. By partnering with sports clubs that share these commitments, Crédit Mutuel Arkéa strengthens its connection with local communities and supports regional development.

Rugby Club de Vannes shares the group's ambitions: this club embodies determination and solidarity, qualities that Crédit Mutuel Arkéa values and promotes in its own initiatives. This genuine synergy reflects a mutual desire to excel and inspire their respective territories.
