From the ball to the stadium, towards the same goal
Football embodies many values that are dear to Crédit Mutuel Arkéa. Its undeniable popularity and renown make it a sport that unites crowds and sparks numerous passions.
In the regions where the group operates, football is particularly well represented, with many clubs competing at the highest level in Brittany and Nouvelle-Aquitaine. These clubs are major contributors to local dynamism and actively participate in the life of our territories, supported by the Federations and several entities within the group.
Football is a source of cohesion and dynamism, two key objectives that align perfectly with the group's ambition to be at the heart of the business networks in our territories. By supporting football, we strengthen the local fabric and contribute to the vitality of our communities, while promoting values of solidarity, commitment, and performance.
The commiment of the federations to football
Football and the Federations of Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne and Crédit Mutuel du Sud-Ouest share common values of solidarity, dynamism, and commitment to their local communities.
Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne is proud to support numerous football clubs in its region. As a prominent partner, it has invested in the naming rights for stands at Guingamp, Lorient, and Brest, and is also a key sponsor of Stade Rennais FC in Rennes and US Concarneau. This involvement demonstrates our commitment to promoting sports and strengthening community ties throughout Brittany.
On the other hand, Crédit Mutuel du Sud-Ouest plays a significant role in supporting the Football Club des Girondins de Bordeaux. Partnering with both the men's and women's professional teams, Crédit Mutuel du Sud-Ouest contributes to the growth of football at both regional and national levels, while also promoting gender equality in sports.
Through these partnerships, we reaffirm our dedication to supporting the development of football and contributing to the vitality and social cohesion of our territories.
Arkéa Park
Arkéa Park: a historic and visionary naming
For over 50 years, the banking group has supported Stade Brestois 29 in its sporting development and national prominence.
This historic partnership between two local economic players with shared values serves a territory deeply attached to its identity. The project for the future 'Arkéa Park' stadium in Brest embodies this synergy.
It unites the Brest, Finistère, and even Breton ecosystem, including local authorities, SB29's partner companies, and the local population.
Beyond just a stadium, it is a comprehensive project aimed at creating a unique year-round living space, incorporating shops, restaurants, office spaces, events, and entertainment.
Prioritizing local expertise and creating 200 jobs, this project promises to invigorate the economic and social fabric of the region.
Arkea Park: a showcase of inclusion
As a recognized driver of economic development and vitality in the region, Crédit Mutuel Arkéa stands as a meaningful partner for the future Arkéa Park stadium, the second-largest employer in the area with over 3,500 employees based in Brest and its metropolis.
This project embodies our commitment to Brest Métropole, where our group's headquarters are located, as well as our dedication to enhancing the region's prominence and the well-being of its residents.
Arkéa Park will also be a showcase of inclusion and universal accessibility. It will be 100% accessible, welcoming individuals with disabilities, regardless of the nature of their disability.
The project leaders have expressed their desire to exceed regulatory requirements, offering a smooth, comfortable, and high-quality experience to all visitors and spectators with disabilities.
Arkéa Park will also contribute to the employment of people with disabilities through various initiatives. The site management company will prioritize hiring workers with disabilities. When external services are required (cleaning, landscaping, etc.), it will favor specialized employment/handicap structures, such as ESATs.
"Since the launch of the Arkéa Park project, we have shared, with Denis and Gérard Le Saint and the partner public authorities, the same ambition and conviction: to make Arkéa Park a new place of life, accessible to everyone, open to the territory, serving the general interest and solidarity.
We want Arkéa Park to be a national reference in terms of inclusion. It should facilitate stadium access for people with visible or invisible disabilities, promote adaptive sports, and support the professional integration of people with disabilities.
Arkéa Park will build on the initiatives we are implementing within Crédit Mutuel Arkéa to optimize working conditions for our employees and enhance the accessibility of our services for our members and clients.
The promotion of inclusion is at the heart of our HR policy and our solidarity programs. This year again, disability will be one of our main action themes. This choice is also supported by the members of our federations, Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne and Crédit Mutuel du Sud-Ouest, during the recent general meetings of the local branches."
