Crédit Mutuel Arkéa announces the acquisition of Seqino, a 100% French digital e-invoicing solution registered as a Partner Dematerialization Platform (PDP), designed to simplify and secure financial transactions. This strategic transaction allows the banking group to anticipate the widespread adoption of e-invoicing in France by September 2026 and to support businesses in their digital transition. Thanks to this acquisition, Crédit Mutuel Arkéa now offers a turnkey solution to simplify invoice management and optimize cash flows, either directly for mid-sized companies, micro-businesses, and SMEs, or as a white label solution for banks and accounting firms, key partners of businesses, as well as software publishers. This initiative is fully in line with the Group's innovation and diversification strategy, which aims to offer businesses high-performance solutions adapted to market and regulatory developments.

Electronic Invoicing: A Structural Reform for Businesses

As part of the electronic invoicing reform, all businesses will be required to issue and receive their invoices electronically via a Partner Electronic Invoicing Platform (PDP) approved by the tax authorities. This reform involves a major overhaul of invoicing processes for businesses.

By integrating Seqino, Crédit Mutuel Arkéa offers its clients a solution that automates and simplifies these operations, ensuring their compliance and efficiency.

An acquisition that serves professional clients and is fully aligned with the development ambitions of Crédit Mutuel Arkéa and Seqino.

The integration of Seqino into Crédit Mutuel Arkéa is fully in line with the FAIRE 2030  strategic plan, presented last January, which aims to make the Group a major player in sustainable regional development while continuing to expand its business model. This transaction concretely illustrates these ambitions by improving the digitalization of services and the customer experience, and accelerating the acquisition of new business customers, both in the Group's traditional territories and throughout France. The Seqino solution will initially be rolled out to the business customers of Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne and Crédit Mutuel du Sud-Ouest.

Already a leader in the white-label banking services market, Crédit Mutuel Arkéa is expanding its service offering with a comprehensive invoice management and payment solution. This acquisition will support the development of the Group's B2B business, a segment in which Seqino has strong growth ambitions, particularly with accountants, banks, financial companies, software publishers, and paperless operators. Thanks to the white-label PDP API developed by Seqino, all Crédit Mutuel Arkéa partners will be able to guarantee the tax compliance of invoices that pass through their platforms, while easily integrating this technological building block into their own ecosystem.

Much more than a simple invoicing tool, Seqino serves as a true bridge between the company, its accountant, and its bank. By integrating it into its ecosystem of digital services, Crédit Mutuel Arkéa facilitates the digital transition of its professional clients and offers them a turnkey solution designed to optimize their daily management in an increasingly complex and regulated environment.

“The acquisition of Seqino allows us to become a leading player in digital management solutions for businesses and illustrates our ambition to offer our clients innovative and efficient solutions to support them in their digital and regulatory transitions. With the upcoming electronic invoicing reform coming into effect, we aim to offer them a concrete and secure solution. Seqino offers a solution that is both intuitive and innovative, based on the best technological standards on the market. Integrated into the Peppol network and certified NF525 and NF203, it meets the strictest requirements in terms of security, tax compliance, and compatibility with the main data exchange systems. Its integration will enrich the digital experience we offer our professional and corporate clients.”

Elisabeth Quellec, Director of the Retail Banking Division, Member of the Executive Committee of Crédit Mutuel Arkéa

“By integrating Seqino into our portfolio of services, Crédit Mutuel Arkéa is taking a new step in its non-banking diversification strategy. This new white-label offering of PDP APIs and an invoice, payment, and pre-accounting platform represents a major growth opportunity for both the group and its partners, providing them with additional support in the face of new regulatory requirements and the growing digitalization needs of businesses.”

Frédéric Diverrez, Director of the Technology and Services Division, Member of the Executive Committee of Crédit Mutuel Arkéa

“Our integration into Crédit Mutuel Arkéa is a tremendous opportunity to accelerate the development of Seqino and support a greater number of businesses, professionals, and independent contractors, and more generally all VAT-registered individuals in France, in their transition to electronic invoicing. Our powerful and intuitive solution meets the challenges facing businesses and allows them to approach the transition to electronic invoicing with confidence.”
