Crédit Mutuel Arkéa announces two changes within Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne (CMB) and Crédit Mutuel du Sud-Ouest (CMSO). Karim Ganaï has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne. He succeeds Philippe Rouxel, who will take over as Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Mutuel du Sud-Ouest, succeeding Antoine Michaud, who is retiring.

Karim Ganaï and Philippe Rouxel will be tasked with continuing the development undertaken within the two federations, building on the strengths of the cooperative model and supporting the implementation of the Faire 2030 strategic plan, serving members and customers, and our regions.

Holder of a Master's degree in Agricultural Engineering, Karim Ganaï (50 years old) joined Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne in 2003 as an agricultural customer service representative. He then held various positions: point of sale manager, local branch manager and then head of a center of expertise. In 2013, he was appointed head of the CMB agricultural market before taking responsibility, in 2016, for the territorial unit of Saint-Renan in Finistère. At the end of 2020, he took over the Departmental Directorate of Ille-et-Vilaine, a position he held for four years. Since last January, he has been Sales Director of Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne. He has also been Chairman of the FBF Bretagne Regional Banking Committee since 2024.

A graduate of Audencia Business School (Nantes), Philippe Rouxel (57 years old) joined the Crédit Mutuel Arkéa group in 1992 and started in Management Control at Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne. His career quickly took a commercial path. First in Brittany then at Crédit Mutuel du Sud-Ouest, where he held the positions of Cash Manager, Commitments Manager and then Sales Director. 2010 marked his return to Brittany as Departmental Director of Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne for Finistère. In 2016, he became Managing Director of CMB.
