Three years after adopting the status of mission-driven company, Crédit Mutuel Arkéa announces the renewal of its mission committee, an independent body that ensures the implementation of the five commitments of its Purpose. The partially renewed mission committee will continue the work begun in 2022 and support the 2025-2027 Mission-Driven Company roadmap, unveiled in the latest mission report. Four new members are joining this body, including one external member: Anne-Claire Pons, CEO of the Produit en Bretagne association. Luc Moal, director of Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne and former director of Crédit Mutuel Arkéa, and two employees, Sophie Noël and Stéphanie Nadaud, complete the body. Meeting for the first time in its new configuration yesterday afternoon, the mission committee elected Jérémy Brémaud as its chairman. He succeeds Éric Challan Belval, who chaired the body from 2020 to 2025 and remains an active member of the committee.

A key role in Crédit Mutuel Arkéa's governance

Since 2022, the Mission Committee has provided an independent and rigorous perspective on the consistency of Crédit Mutuel Arkéa's decisions with the commitments set out in its Purpose. It assesses the implementation of the Mission-Driven Company strategy, identifies any gaps between the group's actions and its ambitions, and makes recommendations to strengthen its impact.

This role as a "strategic compass" has been fully operational over the past three years, notably with:

  • monitoring the first roadmap;
  • critical and constructive analysis of results with regard to the five commitments;
  • active contribution to the development of the new 2025-2027 roadmap.

This independent body is a true ally in the pursuit of a shared ambition: to transform finance so that it serves regions, transitions, and future generations.

A Diverse and Balanced Committee

The Crédit Mutuel Arkéa Mission Committee brings together people from the field with a serious and recognized commitment. It reflects the Group's commitment to mutualist values and local communities.

Composed of nine members, a majority of whom are external experts and 45% of whom are women, the Mission Committee embodies a diversity of perspectives and experiences:

  • Jérémy Brémaud, new Committee Chair since July 1, 2025. Associate Director and Founder of Ellyx (a specialist in resolving social issues) and President of France Active Nouvelle Aquitaine (a pioneer in solidarity finance);
  • Anne-Claire Pons, new Committee member. Executive Director of the Produit en Bretagne association;
  • Eric Challan Belval, President of La Feuille d'Érable (a pioneer in office paper recycling) and of Medef Ille-et-Vilaine. He chaired the mission committee from 2020 to 2025;
  • Thierry Burlot, former Vice-President of the Brittany Regional Council in charge of the environment and biodiversity and President of the Loire-Bretagne Basin Committee (the body responsible for water management policy in the Loire-Bretagne basin);
  • David Sussmann, Founding President of Pure Ocean (an endowment fund supporting projects that protect marine ecosystems) and Founding President of Seafoodia (a company specializing in the global distribution and sale of seafood products).

To best represent Crédit Mutuel Arkéa's DNA and its historical regions, the mission committee is also composed of two directors from Crédit Mutuel du Sud-Ouest and Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne: Daniela Da Silva, President of the Caisse locale de Bordeaux Saint-Jean and the Caisse de Crédit Mutuel Agricole et Viticole du Sud-Ouest, and Luc Moal, Vice-President of the Caisse de Crédit Mutuel de Brest Rive-droite, a director of Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne and a former director of Crédit Mutuel Arkéa, who has long been involved in the Group's cooperative life.

Two employees complete this committee: Sophie Noël, Director of Inclusion and Territorial Development at Arkéa Banque Entreprises & Institutionnels, and Stéphanie Nadaud, Director of Human Resources at Crédit Mutuel du Sud-Ouest.

A collective commitment for tomorrow

The Mission Committee was fully involved in developing the new 2025-2027 Mission-Driven Enterprise roadmap, unveiled in the third mission report, published in early June.

The challenges of the new Mission-Driven Enterprise roadmap will include:

  • evaluating its overall financial and non-financial impact;
  • orienting its offerings toward ever greater meaning and sustainability;
  • supporting local initiatives and cooperative life in the regions;
  • evolving its HR model to foster even greater diversity, inclusion, and dialogue.

The new Mission Committee's role will be to oversee the implementation of this Mission-Driven Enterprise roadmap and ensure that its actions remain fully aligned with the five commitments of Crédit Mutuel Arkéa's Raison d'être.
