A new investment to support the development of the maritime sector
24/11/2025
Crédit Mutuel Arkéa is expanding its savings offering with the Maritime Sector 2025 Fixed-Term Deposit. This product aims to support the financing of maritime activities, primarily in Brittany and the Southwest, while offering savers a secure solution*. Its launch comes a few weeks after the National Maritime Conference, where President Emmanuel Macron reaffirmed the importance of maritime power and the crucial role of the sea in France's food, industrial, energy, and geopolitical sovereignty.
Developed by the trading floor of Crédit Mutuel Arkéa and distributed by Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne, Crédit Mutuel du Sud-Ouest, and Arkéa Banque Entreprises & Institutionnels, the Maritime Sector 2025 Fixed-Term Deposit offers savers a simple, secure*, and useful investment solution. Available with several commitment periods, up to 5 or 7 years, it directly supports the financing of maritime projects rooted in local communities: shipbuilding, seaweed farming, seafood processing, sail propulsion, and many other structuring initiatives.
This new offering is fully aligned with the ambitions of the “Making 2030” strategic plan, which aims to make Crédit Mutuel Arkéa the bank for one in four maritime stakeholders in the regions it serves, and builds upon the work undertaken by the Group’s maritime division, established in 2022.
With nearly 85,000 jobs in Brittany and Southwest France, and strong growth prospects by 2030, the maritime sector represents a major driver of sovereignty and sustainable development for these regions. Crédit Mutuel Arkéa intends to continue supporting its momentum by combining financial performance, economic benefit, and local impact.
*Provided the deposit is maintained until its maturity. In the event of early redemption initiated by the account holder, the capital is not protected.
