"By placing social utility and the capacity for innovation at the heart of their business and governance model, companies with a mission, of which Crédit Mutuel Arkéa is a member, embody the business model of the future and are banking on long-term performance, the guarantee of their long-term future."

Hélène Bernicot, Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Mutuel Arkéa and Co-Chairwoman of the Community of Mission Companies.

Mission in the DNA

The formulation of a Raison d'être (Purpose) marked the starting point for Crédit Mutuel Arkéa's move towards the status of mission-driven company.

It was at the Group's General Meeting on 10 May 2022, after more than two years of maturation and collaborative workshops, that we officially adopted the status of a company with a mission.

In keeping with our mutualist and cooperative values, this status marks a natural evolution in our DNA, serving people, territories and the protection of the planet and its resources.

Adopted in December 2022 by the Mission Committee, the roadmap (to be discovered in our first mission report) is the translation of our 5 commitments into operational objectives.

It is based on "Transitions 2024", the medium-term strategic plan. These operational objectives, broken down into concrete actions that must serve our mission, are assessed using measurement indicators.

A committee to assess the mission

Following the adoption of its status as a company with a mission, the Group appointed its Mission Committee .

The role of the Mission Committee is to approve, monitor and evaluate, by determining measurement indicators, the proper execution of the Group's trajectory, which sets out in operational terms the five commitments set out in our Mission Statement.

The Mission Committee will ensure that each of these commitments is respected and that they are at the heart of every decision taken. It has 9 members, the majority of whom are outside the Group, and 45% of whom are women.
