France's first banking group to adopt a Raison d'être (Purpose)
We were the first French banking group to adopt a Raison d'être (Purpose). It is enshrined in our Articles of Association and is the foundation of our commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
We wanted to redefine the profound meaning we give to our businesses and our usefulness to society and the planet. It expresses the ambition and meaning of the Group's collective project to serve its employees, customers and all its stakeholders.
We have always sought to reconcile financial solidity, local roots, a culture of innovation, a strategy of openness and sustainable, responsible growth, all with a view to the long term.
Our aim? To be the trusted banking partner of a world engaged in profound social and environmental change, by putting our business model at the service of financing the real economy, the regions and their stakeholders, and the life projects of our members and customers.

This Raison d'être (Purpose) is the result of extensive consultation with our stakeholders since 2018, reflecting our culture as a cooperative and collaborative banking group. More than 1,500 directors, as well as members, customers, employees and suppliers, have been involved in the reflection and development process.
